One plan across several floors

A Notting Hill townhouse refurbishment can involve a kitchen downstairs, reception rooms at entrance level and bedrooms spread over the upper floors. Each room has its own requirements, but the cable routes, distribution and construction programme need to work together. Agree the routes before finishes close

Tall rooms, cornices and existing joinery make early decisions valuable. We work through socket positions, fixed appliances and switching with the owner and the wider project team, recording where access is required. Vertical routes need coordination with plumbing and heating so that the same service space is not promised twice. The proposal identifies installation work, testing and handover, together with the parts of making good assigned to the builder.

Choose the right electrical scope

Some projects need new circuits in selected rooms; others justify a full rewire. Replacing the consumer unit is a separate decision based on the existing installation and the proposed loads. Planning the work

Can you coordinate electrical work with the other trades?

Yes. For a refurbishment we agree first-fix routes and second-fix readiness with the project team, so electrical work follows the same room programme as plumbing, heating and finishes.

Does work on several floors mean a full rewire?

Not automatically. We need to establish the condition and extent of the existing circuits and the changes you want before recommending a full or limited installation scope.
